Sandilands Ski Trails

Selection of cross-country ski trails in the Sandilands Provincial Forest

This might be a farewell to a sad ski season, but every opportunity to ski these trails is a gift.

The Sandilands trails were initially created and maintained by foresters in the region, but were handed over from the province to the care of the Sandilands Ski Club in 1992. Since then they’ve seen a lot of change and weathered a lot of storms (and fires, and erosion, and ATV use), but continue to provide one of the best skiing opportunities in the province. Read more on the club website.

Above is a map of some of the winter ski trails, distinct from the new maps we’ll be exploring on foot once the snow melts.
