The Barkmans 2025 Recap

On a beautiful spring day, almost too nice by Barkman Marathons standards, 28 runners gathered at KR Barkman Park in Steinbach to look for books.

When the dust settled, 16 kissed the rock to finish their mission, 12 were ceremoniously tapped out for failing to finish.

While Klaaz, in classic style, was a no-show on the day of the event, pouring through the applicants’ submission poems we did learn something new about the legend behind this mythical event, which might help us in tracking him down:

Will YOU have what it takes to conquer the Barkman Marathons next year? And, given the 57% finisher rate, will Klaaz mercilessly increase the difficulty of the event? All of this remains to be seen.
