Ever pick up your head at the end of the day and think, where did the day go? Did I do anything besides stare at a screen, firing off another email, reacting to the latest ping? Did I take note of one person around me, or even truly listen to those closest to me?
It’s so easy to stay buried in our virtual existence, pre-occupied by our own thoughts and to-dos. There’s always something going on, something to entertain, distract, preoccupy us.
We’d all like to be more attentive, more present, more alert to what’s happening all around us.
Maybe the first step is picking up our head in the first place.
